Your second chance with every visitor

On desktop it reacts when the cursor heads for the tabs or the close button. Phones have no cursor, so there the pop-up appears after a set time on the page instead (15 seconds or more).

Guide

How to add an exit-intent pop-up to your website

Four steps, no developer needed. You can change the offer and timing later in your dashboard without touching your site.

  1. 1

    Create a pop-up in Swoopkit

Sign up, create a Banner widget, pick a layout, add text, a photo and a button or a lead form, and choose when it appears: after a delay, on scroll or on exit intent.

  2. 2

    Set the trigger and frequency

Choose when it appears and how often the same visitor sees it.

  3. 3

    Copy your site code

In your Swoopkit dashboard, copy the line of code with your site key.

    <script src="https://swoopkit.app/loader.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY" async></script>
  4. 4

Paste it into your site once

In the custom code settings of Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or before the closing </body> tag.

One code for all Swoopkit widgets. If you add stories or a contact button later, there's nothing more to paste.

Placement

Four layouts for an exit offer

  1. 1

    Centered pop-up

The classic pop-up: noticed instantly, great for your main offer or lead capture.

  2. 2

    Corner card

Doesn't cover the site: the offer slides in from the side without blocking the page.

  3. 3

    Mini banner

A compact card with a photo and a button. A gentle reminder of your offer.

  4. 4

    Bottom bar

A slim full-width bar: for announcements, shipping info or sale deadlines.

FAQ

Questions about exit-intent pop-ups

What is an exit-intent pop-up?

A pop-up that appears when a visitor is about to leave the page, for example when the cursor moves toward closing the tab. It gives you one more chance to make an offer.

Does exit intent work on mobile?

Phones have no cursor, so leaving can't be detected reliably. On phones the pop-up appears after a set time on the page instead, 15 seconds or more.

Won't it annoy visitors?

Set it to show once per session or once every few days, and it reaches people only once, right when they are leaving anyway.

Which platforms does it work on?

Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer and any website where you can add a snippet of code.

How much does it cost?

The first 3 months are free, no credit card required. After that, $7 a month or $15 for 3 months, and the plan includes all widgets: stories, pop-up banner and contact button.
