Guide

How to add a contact button to WordPress

The easiest way is the free WPCode plugin. It keeps the code separate from your theme, so it won't disappear when you update or switch themes. You need admin access to your site.

  1. 1

Create a contact button in Swoopkit

Sign up, create a Contact button widget and add your channels: WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, phone, email or any link. Pick a color and a corner.

  2. 2

    Copy your site code

In your Swoopkit dashboard, copy the line of code with your site key. It's the same line for all widgets.

    <script src="https://swoopkit.app/loader.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY" async></script>
  3. 3

    Install WPCode

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New, search for “WPCode – Insert Headers and Footers”, then install and activate it.

  4. 4

    Paste the code into Header

Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer, paste the line into the Header box and click Save Changes.

  5. 5

    Clear the cache

If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache so the code reaches every page.

Where to place the contact button on WordPress

  1. 1

    Bottom right corner

The usual spot for a chat button: visitors find it without thinking.

FAQ

Questions about the contact button on WordPress

How do I add a WhatsApp or chat button to WordPress?

Create the widget in Swoopkit, copy one line of code from your dashboard and add it to WordPress: install wpcode, then paste the code into header, then clear the cache. You do it once.

Do I need a paid WordPress plan?

You need admin access to your site.

Which messengers can I add?

WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Viber, LINE, SMS, phone, email and any custom link. Up to 10 channels in one button.

Will the button slow down my WordPress site?

No. The widget is tiny and loads after your page, asynchronously.

Can I change the number or channels later?

Yes, any time in Swoopkit. The code on your site stays the same.

How much does it cost?

The first 3 months are free, no credit card required. After that, $7 a month or $15 for 3 months, and the plan includes all widgets: stories, pop-up banner and contact button.
