Custom HTML tag

Install on your site with Google Tag Manager

If your site already uses Google Tag Manager, you can add the code there without touching the site itself.

Your site must already have a Google Tag Manager container.

  1. 1

    Copy your site code

It's the same for all widgets: stories, the button and banners will show up on their own.

    <script src="https://swoopkit.app/loader.js" data-site="SITE_KEY" async></script>
  2. 2

    Create a tag

In your container, go to Tags → New → Tag Configuration → Custom HTML and paste the line.

  3. 3

    Choose the All Pages trigger

Under Triggering choose All Pages and save the tag.

  4. 4

    Publish the container

Click Submit → Publish. The tag won't run on your site until you publish.

✓ Check it

Open your site in a new tab. Once someone visits a page with the code, your Swoopkit dashboard shows a green “Code installed” mark.

Tag Manager can only add the site code. For stories “on the page”, the block code still has to go into the page itself.
